    I love Woodstock.

I love Woodstock. Especially the farmers market on the historic square on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. It's a great small town and big town wrapped into one. There are so many unique stores to explore throughout the town, you never run out of things to do.

Woodstock is a nice well preserved town that was easy to get around in. They do run the "Groundhog Day" movie theme(filmed there many years ago) into the ground but it has a nice square and lots of good restaurants and fun antique shops. My favorite place to eat was Cobbs Bar & Grill that had about 20 different Hamburgers that had names based on the Groundhog movie and Chicago. Unfortunately there is not much else to do around there once you get through the area around the square but there is a very interesting railroad museum about 15 miles southwest of town.

Main reason to visit was to go to the square where many scenes from film ‘Groundhog Day’ were filmed. There are plaques around the square to show where certain scenes were made and a huge painted wall just down from the cinema. A short walk away from the square are other filming locations - a list of which can easily be found online.
